SS10 Pistols at Dawn review

We were lucky enough to have Vogue editor, Kirstie Clements and online editor ( Damien Woolnough at our show on Tuesday night.
Yesterday their verdict went up on the Vogue website. You can see it here

It's really great to have people at the top of our industry like our clothes as much we do, and as our customers that have supported The Cloakroom here in Brisbane do.

SS10 Collection - MBFF

Last night we showed the Summer collection for our Pistols at Dawn range at the MBFF.
To check out the new range head to the MBFF site.

It's been a crazy week for us both and things got a little complicated as we hit a few snags on Monday with the final pieces arriving in time. In the end we sent 11 looks down the runway that we were really happy with.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us, it is much appreciated.

We'd also we'd like to say a big thank you to Felicity who painstakingly handmade all the hats for the show, they looked fantastic.
Also thanks to Gillian for the sandals which really finished off a lot of the looks.
It is these small touches that personalise our show and make our clothes stand out.

On show will be a range of pieces for Summer including new shorts, jackets, shirts and kaftans as well as shoes and sandals.
There's also some great local and national labels on the bill so we'd encourage you all to jump online and buy a ticket before it sells out. Simply go to for all the info and to purchase tickets.

The Pistols at Dawn show will be taking place on Tues Aug 25 at 6.30pm.

Almost but not yet

The store is not quite ready to swing open the doors. I was hoping to have it open for Saturday indesign but it wasn't to be. I did however get the chance to wander through the showrooms that participated in the event. A very well orchestrated operation. Living above the shop in Surry Hills means that I'm really in the thick of the action, and didn't need to go far to see the likes of Hub, Living Edge and Poliform. I didn't partake in the after party as was still feeling a bit ordinary after the Vogue 50th bash at Fox studios on Friday night.
