This week we took delivery of our Summer denim range.
We have worked hard in the last few months to get the cut right, and sourced some great denim from Italy and America.
We have a single cut on offer and in 3 different styles of denim. The American denim is a narrow loom Indigo coloured selvedge (with copper thread), while the Italian is a lighter weight Blue/Black (with black thread). And for the rockstars we have a limited quantity of white.
We've had the jeans made in Melbourne, and had the leg overlocked but left unhemmed. This allows you to get the perfect fit on the waist and then have us pin it to the correct length.
We then have the jeans hemmed and ready for you in 30-45 mins.
As with all things Cloakroom we have limited quantities so please drop in and see us to avoid disappointment.

Branch Out
We would like to say thank you to the boys at Street and Garden Furniture for inviting us to be a part of Branch Out. It was daunting to exhibit in the company of some of Brisbane's best design and architecture practices. We had a great night and already look forward to the next installment from Alex, Surya and Bjorn.

Men's Style Dec - just out!
The new Men's Style has just been released so waste no time in grabbing a copy.
Despite what some of you may think, we are not paying anyone at the magazine. We are very grateful that once again we have some great coverage with our pieces in different shoots. As an added bonus, this edition we were very fortunate to land the much coveted Contents page image.
Many thanks to Kim Payne and Peter Holder for their ongoing support.

10,000 visits to Cloakroom Blog!
At some stage last Thursday our 10,000th visitor viewed the Cloakroom blog.
What started as a way for us to keep you all updated on the shop and new pieces we design has somehow become a lot more than that.
Thanks to everyone for your support and patronage. We both hope that you've enjoyed the content thus far.
Hopefully we continue to entertain you with our posts and don't get too lazy or busy to regularly stay in touch.
Stay tuned for more.
Thanks!

Sunny Brisbane
It's been an electric week here in Brisbane with some amazing storms, and last night was no exception. Here is the view from my balcony of what went on for almost an hour. It actually felt more like a James Cameron movie than reality.

Just arrived from London - Grenson Shoes
'Grenson - England's Master Shoemakers since 1866'.
We were both excited to take our first delivery of Grenson shoes this morning, and are very proud to say we are currently the only Australian stockist. We think the brand has the right combination of tradition and vision to create beautiful shoes that suit our customers taste and lifestyle.
The brand has recently collaborated with the boys from Albam - www.albamclothing.com and also Rag and Bone - www.rag-bone.com
Don't just take my word for it though. Check out www.grenson.co.uk or drop into our shop and see for yourself.
I think they are classics that you will want a pair of for every occasion.
Currently instore we have the 'Noble' wingtip and the 'Kirk'.

Vouchers Now Available
There is nothing worse than fighting the crowds on Christmas Eve, looking for an elusive gift and settling for something less than perfect. This year we have in store, gift vouchers for a tailor-made shirt or you can nominate a voucher amount of choice.
We have already thought of the gift wrapping. All you'll need to do is think of something appropriately festive to write on the box.

BSA Single Speed
Thanks to James at Bicycle Revolution West End for lending us his single speed for the weekend. We are hoping to incorporate the bike in our next photo shoot if it doesn't get snapped up before hand. It's a great ride, super light BSA steel frame with single speed freewheel hub.

On the mannequin today - Oct 28
For Summer we've been able to get some amazing cotton from our French supplier Doremuil. It's not cheap, but the quality of the cotton is so good that the grain in the weave is barely discernible.
Today we have a Tuxedo jacket in black cotton. We have styled it with a traditional single button, shawl lapel (narrow) and finished with silk covered buttons. A nice detail that we often use for 1 button jackets is the extra internal button on the front.
The shirt is a polka dot cotton with a narrow (mod) spread collar.

Men's Style - spring/summer
We would like to say a big thank you to Kim Payne for her enthusiasm and support. She recently shot one of our jackets for the 'checks on the male' story in the new spring/summer Men's Style. Check it out, it hit shelves this week.
We're already looking forward to catching up next time we get back to Sydney.
The blue cotton jacket was part of the runway collection shown at Mercedes Fashion Festival.
